For the training lead
Not everyone on your crew has a work email. They still need a way in.
Training and safety records only count if the right person did the work. PortalBase gives every worker a way in, whether they've got a company login, a personal phone or a shared tablet.

The problem on the ground
No email, no login, no record.
The usual way. Software built for the office wants an email and a password. A laborer on a personal phone has neither at work.
The workaround. Everyone shares the foreman's login. Now the record shows the foreman did it.
Gloves and noise. Typing a long password on a cold morning isn't going to happen.
Ways in that fit the crew. You pick which sign-in methods your company allows. Each record carries the person who did the work.
Sign-in options
Pick what fits each crew
Text message code. A worker enters a phone number and gets a code. No email needed.
Employee ID and PIN. For crews who already know their number.
QR badge. Scan a badge at a shared tablet to sign in.
Company SSO. Microsoft Entra, Okta or Google, for anyone your directory knows. People are added and removed automatically.
Shared tablets
One device, many people
- Switch workers. It works offline too.
- The person, not the device. Every record carries who did the work. The tablet's name isn't on it.
- Stay signed in. A worker stays signed in offline for as long as your company sets.
- Simple home screen. A flagger might see four tiles. A foreman sees seven. Your admin decides.

Common questions
- Is it one login for phone and web?
- Yes. One identity per person across the phone app and the web app. What they see depends on their role.
- What happens when someone leaves?
- Deactivating them takes effect immediately. The app's data clears from their device at next contact. Nothing else on the phone is touched.
- Does it see everything on a personal phone?
- No. The app only sees its own data. Location is captured during a capture, never in the background.
