Inspections
Walk the truck. Record the walkaround. Fix what failed.
An inspection is a template of steps. Each step says what to look at and what evidence it needs. A failed step becomes a repair. A bad enough one takes the asset out of service until someone signs it back in.

How it runs
One template. One record.
Step 1
Build the template
Steps in order. Each has an instruction, the evidence it needs and its results.
Step 2
Start it
Open the Inspections tile, pick the asset or scan its tag. Or it lands in Tasks because a schedule assigned it.
Step 3
Do the walkaround
Mark each step Pass, Concern or Fail. Add a photo, a video, a reading or a note where the step asks.
Step 4
Supervisor reviews
The queue shows failures and concerns first.
The record
What's on every inspection.
Who and when. The worker, the time, and the asset.
Where. Location is captured during the inspection only, never in the background.
Every step. Each result, its photo or video, and any comment.
Signatures. From the worker, and from whoever reviews it.
Kept as submitted. A correction is a new version. The original stays.
PDF. Any record exports to PDF.
Assets and repairs
The forklift has a history.
01
Tags
Put a QR code or barcode on the asset. Scanning it opens the asset and its documents.
02
Out of service
A failed critical step can pull the asset from service. It can't be inspected or assigned again until it's repaired and released.
03
Release
Sign-offs go in the order you set for that asset type. Mechanic, then driver, for example.
Repairs
A failed step doesn't die in a folder.
It becomes a repair item. An owner, a status, notes, photos and a closure.
It stays with the asset. Every inspection, repair and sign-off shows in order on that asset's page.
Meter readings ride along. Hours and miles are captured during the inspection.
Questions
- Does it work offline?
- Yes. The template is already on the phone, so a worker can run it with no signal. Photo and video save on the device and upload in the background when signal comes back. Your company can limit large uploads to Wi-Fi.
- Can workers change the steps?
- No. Workers can't add, remove or reorder steps. Anything extra goes in a separate linked issue.
- Who decides pass or fail?
- A person. Reviewing video with AI to flag likely problems is on the roadmap. It flags for a human and never passes or fails a step on its own.
- Can I cap video length?
- Yes. Your company sets length caps per step and per inspection. Video is compressed on the phone before it uploads.
